Music is...

We write music, not bios.

Music is one of the few things that we all love. Is there anything that better expresses the heart when words fall short?  They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Then how many volumes does a song speak? It is probably the most mysteriously wonderful thing that people can enjoy as one of many or when entirely alone. It is the closest thing to real magic. Music tames the beast, it emboldens the soldier. It makes the young fall in love and the old feel young again. Music is the dance and the ceremony. It is magical. It's what we do.

At Big Hammer Music, we believe that in advertising, we are not selling a thing. We are selling enthusiasm. We believe that music takes us to the place where words and images cannot reach. Let us help you reach that place.

Johnny Sabino, Founder and Composer

Johnny Sabino / Founder Big Hammer Music and Sound

Johnny has been writing music for national and international commercials since 1997. A native of Detroit, he earned a B.A. from Wayne State University where he studied jazz piano, arranging and orchestration with the legendary Matt Michaels. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Johnny's music has appeared in hundreds of TV spots, television shows, trailers and the occasional play.  His musical versatility and genuine love of different cultures has been possibly his greatest asset. Besides English, Johnny speaks Spanish and is currently studying French.  Although he's been living and working in Los Angeles for a long time, he still thinks of himself as a Detroiter who just so happens to be living in a place where he doesn't need a warm coat and snow shovel.
